Do limited edition prints always |
No, but they often do. When
more people want a print than there are copies on the market, then the demand pushes up the price. Some prints increase in value once the edition has sold out, so the size of edition, especially in relation to an artist's popularity, is important. Sometimes an artist’s work increases in value when the artist dies, because there will be no new works from that artist but that will depend on the artist's reputation. An artist’s work may be particularly collectable during a certain period and then go out of fashion, with prices dropping accordingly; the art market is governed by taste and is fickle and hard to predict. |

Biography:
Vadik Suljakov comes from a well known, Russian intellectual family with many generations of artists and writers. Since arriving in the United States over a decade ago, master Russian artist Vadik Suljakov (pronounced Shul-ya-kov) has established himself as one of the most distinguished young impressionists in the country. One look at his exquisite rich, textured canvases and you understand why Suljakov's work is so highly sought after. Suljakov, born in the cultural center of Moscow in 1960, comes from a well-known intellectual family with many generations of artists and writers. His parents gave him an excellent home education, which included painting by the age of seven. He continued with Russia's most rigid and traditional art education and from the age of twelve to twenty, he perfected his style of technically difficult artwork. He studied at the Moscow First Art School and served apprenticeships at the Moscow Graphic Art Committee and the Moscow Art Group. In 1990, Suljakov left Russia like many other artists had done, because they were asked to tie their art to politics. He then spent a year in New York City with a group of other artists from his native Russia, working as a commercial artist. When asked how he feels about the United States, Suljakov emphatically states, "I came to America when the time was right, when I had enough experience to express my art and thought on canvas."

![]() Tigris Click on picture for view in frame |
Artist: Guillaume
Azoulay
********** This is a Limited Edition, hand signed Giclee******** What is a Giclee? A giclee (zhee-CLAY) is an individually produced, high-resolution reproduction done on a special large format printer. Giclees are produced directly from a digital file from scans of existing artwork. Since many artists now produce only digital art, there is no 'original' that can be hung on a wall. Giclees solve that problem, while creating a whole new vibrant medium for art. Giclees can be printed on any number of media, from canvas to watercolor paper to transparent acetates. Giclees are superior to traditional lithography in several ways. The colors are brighter, last longer, and are so high-resolution that they are virtually continuous tone, rather than tiny dots.

Biography:
Stephen enjoyed acting but found painting much more creatively satisfying and explains, "...the feeling of being totally free to create as an artist is exciting to me. In acting a large part of the creative process had taken place by the time I was involved. The writer, director, and producer had already made many decisions about the character I would play. In contrast, painting gives me complete control. I may race along in a painting and have a disaster on my hands or something I'm proud of...but, I make the choices and accept the consequences good or bad. That's freedom...it's precious and the most fulfilling part of being an artist to me."
